How your details are handled
You send one word and we hold a chair. That needs a few details from you and nothing more. Here is exactly what is kept, who is allowed to see it, how the ad measurement on this site works, and how to change your mind later.

Collected, and why
What you send us
The word you send, your name, phone number, email, and anything else you choose to type in the application. This is what holds a chair and prints a credential.
What your passport keeps
Chapters attended, stamps earned, rooms joined and the words you sent. It is your record of the table, and a host can read the seating list for a chapter they run.
What the site notices
Which page you came from, which poster or link brought you, and the steps between arriving and messaging us. It is stored as a visit, not as a profile of you.
What we never collect
Payment details are not held here, and we do not buy contact lists. Your phone number and email stay with us unless you ask us to pass them on.
Shared with, and for what
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
A measurement script on this site tells Meta which ad a visitor came from and whether they started a chat or sent a word. It receives page activity and device information, never your name, email or phone number.
When you press a chat button the message opens in WhatsApp, so Meta-owned WhatsApp sees the message you send us, the same as any conversation.
Our email and hosting providers
Confirmation messages, credentials and reminders are delivered through them. They process the message, they do not own the guest list.
Hosts and chapter leads
The team running a chapter can see the people who asked for a seat at it, so the door goes smoothly. They cannot change roles or read other chapters.
We do not sell your details, and we do not hand a contact list to an ad platform for matching. No name, email or phone number is uploaded to Meta for advertising.
The tracking script, plainly
This site loads a measurement script from Meta so we can tell which ads bring people who actually show up. It reports page views, and two specific moments: when a WhatsApp message is started, and when a word is sent through the site. Meta links that back to the ad you saw.
The page you are on, the ad or link that brought you, your approximate region and device.
Your name, email, phone number, or the contents of your passport.
Counting what worked, and showing our ads to people more likely to come.
If you would rather not be counted, turn off personalised ads in your Meta ad settings, or use the US opt out page. Blocking the script in your browser works too, and nothing on this site stops working because of it.
Ask, correct, or disappear
Say the word
Message the Hungry Minds line on WhatsApp or send a text to +91 98721 11012 and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. A person reads it, not a queue.
What deletion means here
We remove your details from the guest list and the memory layer. Records a chapter already ran and any legal paperwork stay, in a form that no longer names you.
Changing your mind is allowed at any point and costs you nothing at the table. If you withdraw, new messages simply stop; nothing already sent to you is replayed.
